With an inspired vision and desire to change the perception of structural engineering, Paul Joseph Ford founded his own firm in 1965 to seamlessly deliver creative solutions while continually striving to provide exceptional service to clients. Mr. Ford’s forward-thinking had an immediate impact on shaping the Columbus skyline with the structural engineering of several landmark buildings in the city including the AT&T Building, Continental Center, Bureau of Workers' Compensation, Sheraton Hotel and the iconic Hyatt Regency Hotel.

At the heart of Mr. Ford’s concept for building design was the idea of creativity meets constructability. Based on this philosophy, our team has completed structural design services for a variety of building types including commercial, office, municipal, healthcare, industrial, mixed-use, multi-family housing, hospitality, entertainment, aviation and retail.

Changes in legislature for the delivery of communications also began to shape the vision that Mr. Ford had for the firm. As this industry reacted to changes, the inventive minds at Paul J. Ford & Company studied and designed new guyed and self-supporting towers to meet these changes. Fast forward to today and the firm is a nationally recognized leader and innovator in the communications and power infrastructure markets.
