Vacation Village at Parkway Resort

Kissimmee, FL

Since 1997, PJF has designed the buildings at this timeshare vacation resort. The Vacation Village at Parkway Resort consists of 19 buildings with a total of 2,168 units. Buildings vary between 7-12 floors with elevators. The buildings are arranged in pairs with a common lobby/elevator core.

The structural design of the buildings utilize cast-in-place interior concrete columns and load bearing reinforced concrete masonry unit walls supported by a shallow foundation system. The elevated floors and roof are un-topped precast hollow core concrete slabs. The lateral load resisting system consists of the reinforced masonry walls designed to act as shear walls.
