Dublin Methodist Hospital
Karlsberger Architects selected Paul J. Ford and Company to provide structural design services for the construction of a new four-story hospital. The hospital, located in Dublin, Ohio, is owned by Ohio Health and was constructed to serve northwest Columbus. It consists of 330,000 square feet, and is designed for future expansion of several areas of the hospital building structure. A remote 10,800 square foot central energy plant structure serves the hospital’s mechanical needs.
Structural focal points of interest include the main lobby and the six roof top gardens. The main lobby is constructed of an exposed, tube steel moment frame. It consists of a 4,100 square foot, four-level open air space with balconies at level two and three and a three story water feature.
